Hayden Kho Launches His Perfume Line

Hayden Kho launched his line of perfume last Thursday, October 21, 2010.

With his medical license revoked due to the Katrina scandal, Hayden aims to be the first legitimate perfumer in the Philippines as there are none so far in this country.  The perfume line is aptly called, Hayden.

For the past months, he has been learning all he can about perfumery and scents.

He collaborated with Greg Banzon who is with RFM company. They discussed several business options but Hayden stressed that he wanted a beauty-related one. After looking through several beauty products, Hayden finally decided on perfumes.

No, he is not partnering with Dr.Vicky Belo, but instead put up his own company called Inovacao da Vida, Inc. meaning innovation of life in Portuguese. For Hayden, it holds a special meaning since it means you can change your life, you can innovate life. You’ve probably done a lot of wrong things in the past, but you can change things and make life better.

Hayden also contacted Takasago (Fragrance Creation Center in Paris) and asked them if they could hook him up with Yves Tanguy. Yves is the professor of fragrance creation in Versailles.

Hayden trained with them. "All the raw materials for fragrances were there. They taught us and tested us. I can’t say I’m an expert though, I’m not yet a nose. But I’m learning and training, and hopefully, someday, I will fulfill my fantasy of being the first perfumer in the Philippines."

The special edition is called Amberwoods and Rose Petals, and it’s in black.
