Interested in Modeling? It’s Not Too Late!

Last 2009, a 51-year-old model set the fashion scene buzzing on twitter.  According to news reports, ex- Chanel model, Ines de la Fressa, “stole the show” at the the Spring 2009 Gaultier show.

The lights are finally coming on as the fashion industry is beginning to turn its head to the “real” women who have the purchasing power for all these products being rolled out.  After all, it's us who do most of the buying.

Lately new modeling agencies are popping up that specialize in “older” models.  With this, there is still a chance to fulfill your lost dream of modeling!

Many older women are serving as an inspiration for women who want to start their career in modeling, but think it may be too late. We are always excited to see real women, as opposed to super tall, super skinny, teenage string beans modeling clothes meant for the masses.  The beauty industry seems to be starting to embrace mature models, as evidenced by the new TV reality show She’s Got The Look, which features women over 35 attempting to break into the fashion world a la America’s Next Top Model.  The New York Times also made this feature :

We encourage any woman with a dream to go after it! We searched the web for and spotted this 40+ model mom who looks gorgeous in a pose which easily reminds us of Dawn Zulueta.  Ladies, meet Melanie Velez Trani. Ain't she fabulous?!
